We have had a busy couple of months! We put our condo up for sale, sold it. Due to an eager buyer we set off on a month and a bit adventure. First we packed all our stuff up from Utah then sent it across the country and headed the opposite way to Seattle. We went to Bear World where my sister was interning this summer. It is a park up by Rexburg, Idaho where you drive through with your car. Last time we went a bear got up on our car and was swiping at our windshield. I know, intense. Nothing so exciting happened this time, but it was fun to see the bears and see my sis. Grizzlies were the cutest! How ironic because they are probably the meanest. Here are some darling baby bears they had.
We then headed off to Seattle to attend a fun family reunion at Lake Chelan. We stayed in darling cabins and had great company with family as well as amazing food!
After our reunion we packed up and headed down the coast through Oregon and California stopping briefly in Northern Cali and Southern Cali to see grandparents and on over to Arizona where we stayed with parents for a couple of weeks. While there baby had her 1st birthday.
After our extended visit in AZ we started to make our trek to Virginia. The trip took us over 40 hours! Let me tell you I was so happy to not drive when we were finished. We went to my favorite barbaque place from when i lived in Texas called Rudy's. I was so happy when we were driving through Amarillo to see it off the freeway. Yeah!
We also got off in Nashville for a little while and saw the Grand Ol' Opry and Opryland. I was hopping to see Taylor Swift, but no such luck. Off the the freeway we also saw Dolly-wood and Loretta Lynn's Ranch. It was all very exciting.
We finally arrived in Virginia/DC. We are so exciting to be here and have enjoyed our time here and the fun and interesting things to do. So far we have gone to tour Greg's new school, went to DC Cupcakes/Georgetown Cupcake from the TLC reality show. It was a.m.a.z.i.n.g! Seriously. We even had to wait in line, but it was worth the wait.
